Mayor and Board of Alderman

The Mayor and Board of Alderman are responsible for the fiscal policies of the Town of St. Francisville.  They also are responsible for the appointment of the town's Police and Fire Chief's.  They oversee the budget's of all departments of the town.  The Mayor also serves as the judge of the municipal court which has jurisdiction over traffic offenses other then DWI's and misdemeanors that occur inside the town limits.  They also decide upon proposed town ordinances.  The town is supported both sales taxes and some small property mileages.  The town operates on a budge of approximately     per year.  The mayor does not vote on matters before the Board of Alderman except in the case of a tie.  Both the Mayor and the Alderman serve four year terms.
