Providing fire protection to the un-incorporated areas of West Feliciana Parish with eight sub-stations strategically located throughout the parish with nine engine companies, nine 1500 gallon water tenders, three service-rescue units, a command unit, a rapid intervention team unit, a reserve service company and over 100 volunteer members Fire Protection District No. 1 strives to provide the highest quality Fire Protection, Rescue Service and Fire Prevention Education to the people of West Feliciana.  One of the largest departments per-capita in the nation the district continually works toward improving both the services provided to the community and the insurance rating for the parish.
